Mike Lee is currently the Assistant Superintendent for the Buckeye Elementary School District after recently serving as the Director of Professional Development for the Paradise Valley Unified School District.  In 2012, he received his doctorate in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University, however, he began his work in education serving as a para-educator in a special education program while still an undergraduate. His professional interests include assessment and reporting strategies, the evolving role of technology, teacher leadership, and effective professional development that permanently impacts instruction.  During his 20 years in education, he has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and the Director of Outreach and Engagement for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Washington D.C.
